The goal of this workshop is to explore what gets in the way for you in connecting with a felt sense of compassion for yourself and your body. Often many of those barriers are a result of internalizing the messages from oppressive systems (patriarchy, white supremacy, ableism, etc) about what bodies "should" be like. We will use mindfulness and body-awareness within an anti-oppression framework to learn more about how you organize your body-related experiences. We will also work through a practice intended to cultivate a felt sense of compassion that is unique to you and begin to re-build a compassionate relationship with ourselves.
