Revamp Salad to Spring Rolls Recipe

What we consume in our bodies sends information to every cell and microflora existing within us. But there are times when our meals can become boring and redundant.

Just yesterday, a busy day as a woman on the go, I picked up a salad- oriental chicken salad- from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I realized while staring at this salad there has got to be another way to provide nutrients to myself and my family and still enjoy my meal. And that is how this blog Revamping Salad to Spring Rolls came about. As I drove home I pondered on how many other busy, goal-getting working women are struggling with this dilemma. The fact of the matter is, there are many women doing this on a daily basis. Maybe the thought has crossed your mind or maybe you are hesitant to revamp your salad. Please know that there are many reasons to just go for it and here’s are the benefits:

Revamping helps to diversify how you experience the same meal

Revamping a meal together helps you to establish memorial moments for you and your family

Meal preparation can be a mindfulness technique as it connects multiple senses

Just the feeling of Excitement as you salivate over the anticipation of your new meal.

What I enjoyed most about this meal is how lite it was. My energy continued to thrive throughout the day. There was no heaviness, fatigue, or sluggishness because of this mean. Just the way I like it.

Here is what you will need:

I’ll add a photo of the ingredients when I create this meal again

Ingredients

A packaged/premade salad

dressing/ sauce

4 rIce wrap paper

1/4 warm water

Instructions:

  • Fill a large bowl with warm water. Dip 1 rice wrap paper into the water for 1 second to soften. Lay on a flat surface.

  • Place salad items in the center of the wrap, preferably meats first, then vegetables/fruit, etc. leaving about 2 inches uncovered on each side.

  • Fold uncovered sides inward, then tightly roll the rice paper from the other sides ( think of a burrito) until all of the ingredients are enclosed.

  • Here you can make a separate sauce. however, for this dish, I used the salad dressing ( peanut sauce) as the dipping sauce for my spring rolls.

Sauce:

I utilized the salad dressing as a dip for my revamp

Tips

  • Add boiled rice or rice noodles

  • Add basil or mint leaves for additional flavors

Have you ever revamped a meal? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
