Introduction to Substance Use and Trends

About this training

The purpose of this training is to provide mental health professionals,

substance use professionals and co-occurring healthcare professionals with

substance use disorder education on local trends, treatment strategies and

cultural considerations. During this training, be educated on the impact

substances and alcohol has on mental health, participants will be able to

identify risk factors and protective factors associated with substance use

disorders and cultural considerations in treatment.

Objectives

1. Participants will gain knowledge on the impact substances and alcohol has on mental health.

2. Attendees will be be able to identify 2 risk factors and 2 protectors associated with substance use

and more
